Ellie has always been drawn to teaching others. She became a yoga teacher in 2015, attracted to the physical benefits, but also the emotional and spiritual benefits that practicing yoga provided her with, inspired to share the great practice with as many as she could. Prior to that, she was a tutor and teaching assistant. Always drawn to becoming a healer and teacher, Ellie decided to pursue a career in nutrition, to educate her patients on how to navigate the modern food system and nourish their bodies with food.
Ellie is passionate about nutrition, health, and empowering others to take charge of their health. She views food as medicine and recognizes the importance of individualized care. In early 2017, Ellie decided to move to Portland, OR to pursue her Masters of Science in Nutrition at the National University of Natural Medicine. She has completed internships at Northwest Naturopathic Medicine, Northwest Personal Training, and was a student educator for the Food as Medicine Everyday series at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.
In Ellie’s free time, she loves to spend time with family and friends playing board games, eating and cooking good food, and exploring the outdoors. She stays active training for marathons, practicing yoga, hiking, and spending time in nature. Fresh air and access to nature are a vital part of her health and life.
